About Me

My name is Allie and I am a runner. August of 2016 I decided to tackle a personal life-long roadblock: running. My whole life I never ran unless I was forced to in gym class. I’m talking wouldn’t even run to catch the bus or cross the street. I hated running. I despised running with every fiber of my being. I felt I was terrible at it, I looked stupid doing it, and I hated every minute of it.

I had recently gone through some stressful life changes and disappointments and I decided I was tired of being afraid and tired of saying “I can’t”. I signed up for a 5k training program that changed my life. I not only got over the major hurdle of feeling like I could never and would never run, but I found a new hobby, new friends, and a new love.

I started this blog because I love running, I love running stuff, and I love learning about running. I want to share my experience with those who are also afraid. I want to learn from those who have been funning for decades. I want to teach others what I’ve learned and tried and see if it works for them too. So please, if you have a question/comment/thought/triumph/failure that you want to share contact me!

But most importantly, keep on running one more lap.
